7 policemen killed in Taliban attack on military base in Afghanistan

SANAA, June 18 (YPA) – Taliban militants launched an attack on the military base in the Afghan province of Baghlan in the northeast of the country, killing seven policemen and wounding five others.

The “Tolo” news channel quoted a security source as saying that the “Taliban” also suffered losses.

The attack took place in the administrative center of the governorate of Puli Khamri.

Clashes continue between government forces and Taliban fighters in Afghanistan, despite efforts to start the “peace process”.
