STC announces failure of Riyadh-run negotiations

SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – A spokesman for the so-called Southern Transitional Council (STC) backed by the UAE, Nizar Haitham, affirmed that Riyadh-run negotiations being conducted by the head of STC Aidarous al-Zubaidi would be failed.

Haitham told Russian Sputnik News Agency, on late Saturday, that the negotiations with the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government were stalled due to great pressure by parties of the government on the coalition states to escalate fighting with the STC militias.

He indicated that Hadi refused to implement the political track and reject to dismiss the government, which has become illegitimate since the Riyadh agreement.
