SANAA, May 3 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Epidemic Control Hussein Maqbouli met on Sunday with MSF officials in Yemen.
During his meeting with the representatives of Spain, Netherlands, France and Switzerland for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) or Doctors Without Borders, Dr. Maqbouli pointed out the precautionary measures taken by the National Salvation Government to confront Corona virus, despite the scarcity of capabilities in the health system due to the Saudi-led aggression and its siege imposed on Yemen.
At the meeting, the officials reviewed the MSF’s activities in Yemen, and the medical assistance provided by the organization to 15 hospitals and medical centers.
The deputy prime minister also affirmed the government’s readiness to provide all facilities to overcome the difficulties and challenges that face the MSF organization in the country.
Meanwhile, the representatives of the MSF explained that the organization would exert efforts for working to raise the alert status in a number of the Yemeni hospitals and centers, and to establish isolation departments to combat the Corona virus.
