Sanaa vows to expose Saudi Arabia’s claims through testimonies from Jawf prison strike survivors

SANAA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Abdulqader al-Murtadha, head of the Sanaa-based National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, said Saudi Arabia and its affiliated factions’ denial of an attack on a prison holding captives in Jawf province, which killed nine prisoners, constitutes another violation to be added to their record of abuses against prisoners.

Al-Murtadha said attempts to deny the attack and evade responsibility would not absolve Saudi Arabia of legal and moral responsibility for the incident or shield it from public scrutiny.

He said the committee would present evidence and details from the scene, including testimonies from surviving prisoners who witnessed the incident.

Their testimonies, he added, would reveal the facts and expose what he described as attempts to mislead the public about the incident.
