Leader in Islah party attacks UAE-backed GPC wing

SANAA, April 29 (YPA) – A leader in Islah party, Mohammed al-Hazmi launched a sharp attack on the leaders of the General People Congress, the UAE-backed wing, for rejecting Islah’s statement on the recent declaration made by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

In a tweet, Al-Hazmi described the UAE-backed GPC members as “the slaves of the dirham”, in a clear reference to their implementation of the Abu Dhabi agenda in Yemen.

Al-Hazmi is one of the prominent leaders of the Islah Party, and its policies diverge and are distributed among the Saudi, Turkish and Qatari agendas, one of the most prominent advocates of unity between the two parties, but his tweets reveal the failure of these attempts, and prove the truth of the contradictions experienced by both parties.

The General People’s Congress ( GPC), the Abu Dhabi wing, said in a statement that the pro-coalition parties had rejected the statement, saying that they uses the GPC’s name in the ” Muslim Brotherhood” media to attack the STC.
