Coalition prevents arrival of 20 oil, food derivatives ships to Yemen
HODEIDAH, April 24 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition navy continues to detain 20 ships loaded with oil and food derivatives, in the context of the siege imposed by the coalition on Yemen, a source in Hodeidah port reported on Friday.
The detained ships carry more than half a million tons, mostly gasoline and diesel, the source added.
“Among the detained ships are seven oil derivative vessels that have been pirated for more than a month, despite obtaining international permits to empty their cargo at the port,” the source confirmed.
The source added that the quantities of materials held on board of oil derivatives exceed 400 thousand tons, and food ships vessels exceed 100 thousand tons.
