Meteorological Center warns of heavy rains, thunderstorms in next 24 hours

SANAA, April 17 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center on Friday predicted that instability state will continue in the weather and the fall of heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds within the next 24 hours.

The Center pointed out in its weather forecast bulletin that this atmosphere includes the series of west and southwestern Highlands, while the situation is less severe on the northwest hills.

It added that the state of instability will extend east to the inner plateaus, parts of the Hadramoutt plateau and parts of the deserts.

The center also expected that the rains include parts of the eastern, southern and western coasts and the inside areas adjacent to them, and the surface winds will be severe on the western coasts. Thus, the sea will be disturbed, the wave will rise, and the horizontal visibility will decrease on the sandy areas.

In the weather bulletin, the Center warned the citizens in the areas where rain is expected from the flow of torrents in the valleys, advising to not to be present in the torrent paths during and after the rains.
