SANAA, April 11 (YPA) – World Health Organization (WHO) said on Saturday , Saturday, that it would work to raise 37 hospitals’ preparations in Yemen in order to face the Corona virus (COVID-19).
Altaf Musani, the representative of the WHO in Yemen, said in a statement that “the organization is continuing to prepare in the country in facing the risks of the COVID-19, which the first case was recorded in Hadramout governorate, in the south of Yemen.
“Intensive care doesn’t not only mean seats of patients and artificial respiration, but also the provision of treatment and upgrading the capacity of health workers,” Musani said.
Musani pointed out that “the organization has been currently working to ensure the readiness of technical laboratories to check any suspected cases of the virus, and the work to provide an emergency stockpile from virus testing devices.
She reaffirmed that the WHO provided medical devices to test the COVID-19 pandemic in the capital, Sanaa, Aden province, and Mukalla city in Hadramout.
