SANAA, March 9 (YPA) – In a dangerous precedent happening for the first time in the occupied provinces of Yemen, the Saudi-led aggression coalition forces have deliberately changed the name of the UAE-backed militias to the international anti-terrorist forces.
According to local sources in Ataq city of Shabwa, the UAE-backed militias carried out a wide spread in Azan district and other areas, under heavy air cover by the coalition fighter jets.
“The move came in light of contradictory understandings between the the coalition’s factions conflicting in Shabwa, which were according to the Saudi-backed Islah Party militants would carried the security responsibility in the province, while the UAE-funded militias assuming anti-terrorism forces,” the sources added.
The sources affirmed the US-sponsored agreement between Islah militants and the UAE-backed militias, came nearly two days after the arrival of units of the American Marines to the Balhaf port of Shabwa governorate.
