Marib sheikhs lead tribal mediation to hand over province peacefully

SANAA, March 2 (YPA) – A number of prominent sheikhs and leaders in Marib are prepared to lead a tribal mediation to end confrontation and hand over the province to the Yemen army peacefully, a tribal source said.

The sources affirmed the tribal mediation aimed to hand over Marib to the army peacefully and avoid the province military confrontations, which will lead to war and destruction.

According to the sources, the mediation included sheikh Naji bin Ma’ily al-obaidi , Qanaf al-Ghalq, Hussein al-Qebli, and sheikh Sharif.

These developments came a day after the army and popular forces took over al-Hazm city, the capital of Jawf governorate, and are prepared to move towards Marib city.
