New Saudi military vehicles arrive in Shabwah
SHABWAH, Feb. 4 (YPA) – A new batch of Saudi military reinforcements has arrived in Shabwah province, south-eastern Yemen, local sources reported on Tuesday.
According to the sources, dozens of Saudi vehicles and armored vehicles on board military trucks, arrived Monday evening, in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwah province.
Saudi military reinforcements have moved towards the southern Yemeni city of Aden, the sources said.
Earlier this week, a batch of Saudi military vehicles and armoured vehicles arrived as part of the strengthening of their military presence in the southern provinces.
This follows renewed clashes between the Emirati occupation militias and al-Islah militants in Shabwah province over the past two days, which have led to the imposition of the control of the “Shabwah elite” militias over large areas of Haban district.
Saudi Arabia has set a date for the compulsory implementation of the so-called Riyadh Agreement signed between Hadi’s government and the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council.
