3 fishermen missing at sea of Abyan coast

ABYAN, Jan. 30 (YPA) – Three fishermen disappeared from Abyan last night on a fishing trip near Bandar Ahwar, east of Abyan, local sources said on Thursday.

According to the sources the three fishermen disappeared last night after a fishing trip near Bandar Ahwar in the southeast of Abyan province

The sources added: Ali Abdullah Hassan and his son, in addition to Fawzi Abubakar Khamis, went on a fishing trip from Bandar, the coastal city of Ahwar, on a small fishing boat, but they have not yet returned.

Relatives of the three fishermen and local residents in the city of Ahwar have conducted extensive searches at sea but they have not yet been found, the sources said.

The sources said that the three fishermen are likely to be in a difficult situation if they are still alive, because they do not have any food supplies on board
