Shabwani elite leaders return to Shabwa by force of arms

SHABWA, Jan. 2 (YPA) – Military leaders of the so-called Shabwani elite affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)  on Thursday returned to Hoda area in Shabwa province, southeast Yemen.

“Commander Abdulaziz al-Jafri accompanied by Lt. Col. Mohammed Salim al-Buhar, commander of the so-called 2nd Brigade of Shabwani elite, Captain Wajdi Ba’oum, commander of the Third Brigade of the elite, and a large number of the elite forces loyal to the UAE returned to Hoda area of Laqmosh tribe in Shabwa,” sources told Yemen Press Agency.

Hoda are of Laqmosh tribes had witnessed armed confrontations between the  elite militias and Islah Party militias affiliated with Hadi’s forces, after which a number of the elite leaders fled to Aden.
