Parliament approves its budget for 2020

SANAA, Dec.18 (YPA) – The House of Representatives, in its meeting on Wednesday headed by Speaker Yahya Ali al-Ra’i, approved its budget for 2020.

In its meeting, the House also listened to the response of Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Daress, to the question addressed to him by the parliament member Abdulrahman al-Jumai about the causes of recurrent oil crises and the measures taken by the petroleum company to alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the conditions the country is going through as a result of the continued aggression and blockade.

The oil minister pointed to a number of reasons, the most prominent of which was that the aggression coalition countries obstruct ships loaded with oil derivatives deliberately and seize them at sea and prevent their arrival at the port of Hodeidah which causes in imposing fines, in addition to manipulators, monopolists, black market traders and smugglers of these materials.

Daress also reviewed the measures taken by the petroleum company to address the oil crises and alleviate the suffering of citizens.
