SANAA, Dec. 9 (YPA) – A training workshop on Integrated Food Security Phase Classification in its phase III started on Monday in Sanaa, and is organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in partnership with the Technical Committee for Integrated Phase Classification (IPC).
The four-day workshop aims to provide 40 male and female trainees representing the government sector and international and local organizations from a number of governorates knowledge and information about the IPC of food security, and how to analyze relevant information, and the situation of food insecurity in Yemen.
At the opening of the workshop, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Eng. Majid Al-Mutwakil praised the role of the FAO and its support for areas and programs of food security in Yemen.
He called on international organizations to support agricultural sector efforts and activities in the field of food security.
