Saudi Arabia allows women to join army

SANAA, Oct. 3 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has announced, for the first time in the history, a decision that allows women to the join the Saudi armed forces, with different military ranks, according to Saudi local media.

The Saudi Defense Ministry opened offices for unified admission and recruitment to apply for female military positions in in line of implementation of “Kingdom Vision for 2030.”

The military ranks for women included “first soldier, corporal, sergeant, and land, naval, air defense, in additional to strategic missiles and medical services of the armed forces”.
