Pro-Hadi Islah Party forces set up secret prisons in Shabwa

SHABWA, Oct. 3 (YPA) – Islah Party forces loyal to Hadi’s government have turned headquarters of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council and its militia in Shabwa province into secret detention centers for their opponents, sources reported on Thursday.

The sources said that “Hadi’s forces and Islah militants took the transitional council headquarters and its militia camp in the city of Ataq and turned them as secret jails to hold activists opposed to them.”

The detainees in these two prisons are living in difficult conditions as a result of arbitrary measures, and are subjected to torture and inhumane treatment, according to the sources.

The two secret prisons are under the supervision of military commanders loyal to Hadi forces, the sources added.
