UAE-backed militias deploy in Lahj to prevent Hadi’s forces from entering Aden

LAHJ, Sept. 20 (YPA) – Militias of the Southern Transitional Council and the so-called the 9th Brigade forces loyal to the UAE on Thursday deployed in Tor al-Baha area of Lahj province to counter any movement of Hadi’s forces towards the occupied Aden province.

According to sources, the deployment of the UAE-backed militias near Tor al-Baha comes after the withdrawal of the so-called 4th Brigade led by Abu Bakr al-Jbouli from the fronts of the western coast and return to Aden.

The sources added that al-Jbouli wants to enter Aden with weapons and equipment of the 4th Brigade, but the UAE militias refuse that and demand the handover of weapons first before entering Aden.
