Saudi warplanes bomb UAE-backed council’s positions in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led aggression warplanes bombed positions for the Southern Transition Council’s militias in the southern port city of Aden, Sputnik reported.

A Yemeni military source told the “Sputnik” agency that the coalition aircraft launched at least two raids on Palace Maasheq in the Directorate of Sira and Jabal Hadid in the district of Khor Mksar in the east part of Aden.

The source said that the coalition warplanes dropped leaflets on different parts of the city of Aden.

The aerial bombardment came hours after the coalition announced a ceasefire between the warring parties in Aden, he added.

The infighting between the Southern Transition Council backed by UAE and the exiled Hadi forces left 40 citizens killed and 260 wounded according to United Nations statistics.
