3 UAE-backed security soldiers killed in blast in Abyan
ABYAN, Aug. 3 (YPA) – At least three soldiers of the so-called security belt force backed by the UAE were killed and three others wounded on Saturday in an explosion of an improvised explosive device (IED) in al-Mahfad district of Abyan province, southern Yemen.
The blast targeted a patrol of the security belt force in al-Khaliyah valley in al-Mahfad, killing three solderis and wounding three others, a source told Yemen Press Agency.
On Friday, a commander in the security belt forces survived an assassination attempt in the same district.
