TEHRAN, July 18 (YPA) – A fire broke out on Wednesday evening in a historic building in the center of the Iranian capital Tehran, police reported.
A spokesman for Tehran’s fire brigades, Jalal Melki, told local media that the fire broke out in a historic building in the capital’s Hassanabad Square.
The fire devoured in the evening in an old building dating back about 200 years, he said.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, he said, adding that firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
No casualties have been reported as a result of the accident.
Local media reported that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
