Oil Minister stresses on reactivation of oil, gas, minerals sector

SANAA, July 3 (YPA) – Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Daress on Wednesday stressed the importance of reactivating the oil, gas and minerals sector as one of the most important sectors supporting the national economy.

At the annual honoring ceremony for employees of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and its affiliated units, the minister said that the ministry started the steps of implementing the national vision in the oil and minerals sectors.

Daress touched on the difficulties and challenges facing this important sector, which had been providing the state treasury with 75 per cent of the budget.

He called on the United Nations to work on the release of the oil derivatives vessels held by Saudi-led aggression coalition.
