SANAA, July 1 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Monday stressed the importance of continuation of UNICEF-implemented programs in the current exceptional situation experienced by the country as a result of the aggression and siege.

During his meeting in Sanaa with head of UNICEF’s Yemen office Dr. Sherin Varkey, the premier praised the positive benefits of the direct cash payment project to beneficiaries.

He appreciated the efforts of the UNICEF program management team, in cooperation with the relevant ministries, to manage the programs of cash transfers and monthly incentives.

For his part, Dr. Varkey reviewed the various processes related to the two programs and the conditions and criteria governing them, which were placed in agreement with the ministries and related parties.

He noted that preparations are under way to pay incentives of the remaining months of the last year to teachers within one month, as well as the sixth installment of social security benefits due to be disbursed to beneficiaries during September.
