2 citizens killed in clashes between gunmen in Aden

ADEN, July 1 (YPA) – At least two citizens were killed on Monday as a result of fierce clashes broke out between gunmen in Dar Saad district in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden.

Residents found the body of one of the dead citizens, who is from al-Sayla area in Dar Saad, in the public road without knowing the offender’s identity, according to sources.

The sources added that gunmen from al-Sayla area cut road to “al-Mahariq” area and killed a 50-year-old man from residents of the area, and imposed a suffocating siege on it and fired a number of RPGs and gunshots of various medium and light weapons early in the day.

In an appeal to Hadi’s government, citizens from al-Mahariq said that the people of the area are threatened with death, genocide and homicide by identity.”

According to the complaint reported by the southern “Crater Sky” website, gunmen from al-Sayla area launched their aggression on al-Mahariq without any evidence confirms that who killed one of their members is a member of al-Mahariq area.
