SHABWAH, June 24 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen on Monday blew up an oil pipeline in Yemen’s southeastern province of Shabwa, causing a huge explosion, local sources reported.
According to the sources, “An explosion targeted the main crude oil pipeline in the fourth oil sector in Rudum district, causing a massive fire in the area.
The pipeline extends from the fourth oil sector to the Alnshimaya port for oil exporting, where the Austrian company OMV is pumping large quantities of oil through the same pipeline from the oil fields in Oqla district.”
This marks was the second bombing in less than a month, with other subversive elements targeting an oil pipeline in the Rudum region on the 11th of this month.
