SANAA, June 20 (YPA) – The Yemeni Exchangers Association said on Wednesday it had stopped working to protest the arbitrary measures taken by Hafedh Mayad governor of Aden Central Bank, appointed by Hadi’s government.
“The measures imposed by the Central Bank of Aden has complicated the matter and the banking sector has become restricted by contradictory procedures,” the association said in a statement.
Mayad‘s arbitrary measures represented in addressing the international financial remittance companies to stop dealing with institutions and exchange companies licensed from the Central Bank in Sanaa representing 85% of the total exchange sector, which further aggravated the economic situation and caused the collapse of the currency.
This assures that Mayad is running Saudi-led coalition countries’ agenda in their economic war against Yemen.
