Arab summit in Mecca ignores Palestinian issue: SPC Member

SANAA, June 1 (YPA)- Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Friday said that the final statement of Arab summit held in Mecca city in Saudi Arabia had ignored the Palestinian issue.

In his speech in the mass rally held in the capital Sanaa to mark the International Quds Day, al-Houthi said, addressing the Arab leaders participating in Mecca summit “Why the Palestinian issue was not a priority for you in military spending?”

Al-Houthi noted that the funds being offered to Trump (U.S. president) are Arab funds, and it was worthier to be spent for al-Aqsa. “Why does Saudi Arabia offer those funds to kill Yemenis?”

He said that the statements of Arab and Gulf summits were just pro forma statements that abandoned the Palestinian issue.

Al-Houthi called on Arabs to set up a program for the liberation of Al-Aqsa and Quds and Yemenis would be with them.

He referred that Arabs went to Warsaw conference to normalize with Israel and “to kill the Yemeni people who scream today to say no to Trump’s deal.”

The SPC member called for the formation of Arab committees for Arab peace in the countries that still witness conflicts.

“Let the Palestinian cause be the Islamic summit issue, the issue that Muslims have the honor of ,” he said.
