Yemen army spokesman releases latest statistics of coalition casualties during April
SANAA, May 4 (YPA) -The spokesman of the Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Saree, has issued a press release highlighting the operations of the Army and Popular Committees in April 2019.
He mentioned some figures and statistics that indicate significant progress in the field of operations of the Army and Popular Committees.
Brigadier Yahya Saree said that during April, the military forces carried out 43 offensive operations, 55 attacks targeting enemy forces on various fronts and 86 special operations of the Armed Forces.
General Saree confirmed that on the Dhalea front, the Armed Forces has cooperated with Southern Yemeni resistance fighters, and succeed in securing areas within the province as well as in neighboring Bayda, and Taiz province. This confirms that the operations in the South do not target the people of the southern provinces.
The Anti-Armor Unit of Yemen launched 107 operations targeting 20 armored vehicles, 6 tanks, 17 military vehicles, 6 military bulldozers and 45 fortifications of the US-Saudi mercenaries in April, Yahya Saree added, while the Engineering Unit has targeted 85 pieces of machinery, 4 tanks and a gathering of the US-Saudi mercenaries.
The Army spokesman indicated that the Air Forces of Yemen launched a number of unpublished secret operations as well as 6 cooperative operations with the Artillery Units, targeting a number of Saudi sites.
The sniper units stated that 1,487 operations have been carried out in the month, killing or wounding 21 Saudi-soldiers, 32 Sudanese hired guns and hundreds of other mercenaries, as well as damaging 29 mechanisms.
Brigadier General Saree furthermore stated that the US-Saudi aggression has launched over 350 raids on several governorates in April. The Yemeni Army has encountered 97 such attacks as they were carried out, and successfully foiled 17 infiltration attempts.
Saree said that footage for the destruction of the military and armored vehicles will be released.
About the Stockholm Agreement, the spokesman confirmed the commitment of the Yemeni Armed Forces to the agreement, while clearly stressing that the Yemeni forces reserve the right to respond to any military escalation by the enemy.
On the other hand, there were 3,602 violations of the ceasefire in Hodeidah by the mercenaries during April, increasing the number of violations to19,924 violations between December 2018 and the end of April.
