Iraqi PM arrives in Tehran

SANAA, April 6 (YPA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi arrived in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Saturday as part of a regional tour involving a number of countries, Iraqi official media reported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif received the Iraqi prime minister at the Mehrabad International Airport.

Abdul Mahdi’s visit came to take part in the Iran-Iraq economic conference which will be held tomorrow in Tehran, the officials said.

Iraqi prime minister would discuss with Iranian officials the region’s developments and a number of bilateral issues.

Abdul Mahdi’s tour also includes a number of Saudi Arabia’s Cooperation Council countries, as well as Turkey.
