Yemeni army thwarts coalition’s attack in Jizan

JIZAN, April 5 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Friday repelled an infiltration attempt carried out by militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Jizan region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, a group of Saudi-hired militants tried to advance towards the eastern part of Nar Mountain, but were foiled by the army forces, killing and injuring dozens of them.

The army forces destroyed a military vehicle loaded with militants in Al M’aredhah position, killing all its crew members, the official added.

Meanwhile, the artillery unit shelled the militants’ gatherings at the same site, causing direct casualties.
