High-ranking Saudi official dies in mysterious circumstances in Yemen’s Socotra

SOCOTRA, March 30 (YPA) – A high-ranking  Saudi military officer working at Socotra Airport has died on Friday under mysterious circumstances, amid high alert of Saudi forces on the island of Socotra, according to Al Alam News Channel.

“The Saudi officer, Colonel Abdullah al-Qahtani, died on Friday in mysterious circumstances,” an Al-Jazeera reporter quoted a local source as saying.

He said that the Saudi forces occupation forces deployed on the road to the Socotra Airport line after the incident.

This comes amid great differences and tensions in Socotra between Saudi and Emirati occupation forces.

The UAE is trying to reduce Saudi influence on the island, in order to fully control and occupy it by force.
