SANAA, March 6 (YPA) – A suicide bomber blew himself up on Wednesday morning in Jalalabad, capital of Afghanistan’s eastern state of Nangarhar, an Afghan official said.
A spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar Atallah Khojani said the suicide bomber blew himself up in front of the office of a construction company near the city of Jalalabad, adding that the security teams exchanged fire with gunmen after the blast.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Afghanistan is witnessing almost daily clashes between police forces and the Afghan army on the one hand, and Taliban fighters, resulting in deaths on both sides and civilians.
