President emphasizes importance of enhancing local authorities’ performance

SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – President Saleh Al-Sammad on Wednesday stressed on the importance of enhancing the local authorities’ performance to improve the services provided to citizens, especially under the conditions of the aggression and siege.

During his meeting with Minister of Local Administration Ali bin Ali al-Qaisi, the president praised the local authority’s efforts and keenness to overcome the current challenges.

The president underlined the importance of drawing plans and programs to improve the performance level during the coming period in order to strengthen the societal steadfastness against the aggression.

The meeting also discussed the progress of work in the Local Administration Ministry and its various sectors, as well as the difficulties facing the local authorities under the current circumstances in the country due to the continued aggression and blockade.
