Army kills, arrests dozens of coalition-backed militants
SANAA, March 27 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Tuesday waged attacks against coalition-backed militants in several fronts, inflicting heavy losses upon the militants and arrested dozens, a according to a defense ministry statement.
In Jawf province, scores of the militants were killed, others wounded and a number of the militants were arrested in the army attacks in Khab Washaf district, while tow military vehicles were destroyed.
In Taiz province, the army attacked the militants in al-Mafallis area of Hifan district, killing and wounding dozens of the militants.
In Lahj province, the army waged attack against the militants in Tawr al-Baha district, causing large losses.
Also in Lahj, the missile forces fired Katyush rockets on militants’ groups in Karash district.
In Bayda province, dozens of the gunmen were killed and wounded in an ambush in al-Zahir district.
In Medi front, the army fired artillery towards gatherings of the militants in Medi desert, killing and injuring others, the official added.
