Saudi-led coalition commits 219 violations in Hodeidah cease-fire: Army Spokesman

SANAA, Feb. 20  (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition and its militias  have committed 219 violations of UN-brokered cease-fire in Hodeidah over the past 48 hours, Yemen’s army spokesman Yahya Sarie said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The violations included artillery attacks on houses and farms of the citizens in several districts and Hodeidah city,” Sarie said.

The spokesman said that ” we are ready to withdraw our forces to implement the first phase of the redeployment in Hodeidah, but the coalition and its militias refuses to implement the agreement and commit further violations.”

The fighter and reconnaissance planes keep flying over the sky of the province nine times,” Sarie added.

The UN-brokered truce went into force on Dec. 18.
