President al-Mashat inaugurates executive procedures for tribal honor document

SANAA, Feb. 20 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Wednesday inaugurated the executive procedures for the tribal honor document signed by Yemeni tribes.

During his meeting with heads of the tribal cohesion councils in the capital Sanaa and the provinces, the president stressed the importance of the document in activating the tribes’ role in defense and security, organizing their affairs to prepare them for active participation in decision-making, and improving the social system performance in facing the challenges and conspiracies that target the homeland.

The president called for the declaration of a general reconciliation by postponing all disputes and finding appropriate solutions for the outstanding issues in just ways in coordination with the official bodies.

He stressed the importance of setting a timetable for the general amnesty announced by the martyr President Saleh al-Samad for those whom have been misled by the aggression.

In the meeting, the president touched on the situation at the national arena and the efforts being made to implement Sweden agreement in order to achieve peace despite the continual violations by the aggression forces.

He praised the prominent role of the Yemeni tribe over the various historical stages and the sacrifices made in countering the invaders and occupiers.
