Egyptian authorities prepare to execute number of political prisoners

SANAA, Feb. 20 (YPA) – Egyptian authorities have deported nine political prisoners to the Tora Prison complex in Cairo which has the execution room, human right sources have reported.

The prisoners were subjected to medical examination in preparation for their execution on Wednesday, according to Human rights sources.

Those were accused of trying to assassinate of former attorney General Hisham Barakat in the year 2015.

The families of the prisoners on death row have launched distress calls the Egyptian government to intervene swiftly in order to put pressure on it, and to stop the massacre of innocent young people who have not committed a crime, and have suffered as a violation and injustice during the past years of incarceration.
