LAHJ, Feb. 18 (YPA) – Gunmen on Monday attacked citizens’ land in Rabat area of Lahj province, southern Yemen, and assaulted lands’ owners who tried to repel them.
Residents of the area said that an armed group led by a person named Ali Taha Ahmed Alwan attacked their land in the western Rabat area, and they assaulted them when they tried to prevent them.
They confirmed that arrest warrants against Alwan had already issued by Lahj’s security director to the police chief of the area, but these orders have not been implemented so far.
Lahj province has been witnessing armed attacks on citizens’ property in light of security chaos over nearly four years.
