President al-Mashat, Dhamar Governor discuss humanitarian situation in province

SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Wednesday discussed with Governor of Dhamar province Mohammed al-Maqdashi the province’ needs and the humanitarian situation in it.

The meeting dealt with efforts of the local authority and executive offices to implement the developmental projects and provide services, as well as relief works aiming to alleviate the suffering of the needy and internally displaced people in the province in cooperation with humanitarian organizations and donors.

The meeting also touched on aspects of strengthening the national cohesion and mobilizing support for the fronts in order to counter the aggression and retaliate for its crimes.

The president confirmed the council’s support for the province’s leadership and local authority to do their duties in providing services to citizens and mitigate their suffering due to the aggression and siege.

In the meeting, the governor indicated to the needs of the province in the service and humanitarian aspects, as well as the difficulties facing the province due to the scarcity of resources.

Al-Maqdashi noted to the efforts made by the local authority to activate the state institutions, enhance the security and stability and solve the social issues.
