FM meets WFP Operations Director in Sanaa

SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Wednesday met with Amer Daoudi, director of emergency and operations of the UN world food program (WFP).

The meeting discussed the efforts made by the program to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni citizens.

In the meeting, Sharaf affirmed that the national authorities are following up outcomes of the previous meetings with the program’s leadership within their keenness on improving the performance and removing all imbalances and obstacles.

The minister renewed the cooperation of the concerned authorities in providing all facilities for humanitarian workers to perform their duties and obligations.

Daoudi indicated to the need for the competent authorities’ support in the logistical and procedural aspects by granting of visas to the program employees and facilitating their movements to monitor and verify the level of conformity of obligations in accordance with the governing standards.
