Ministry of Health announces 12 measures to prevent swine flu

SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – The Yemeni  Ministry of Health and population represented by the National Program for Education and Health Information on Tuesday put preventive methods and measures to prevent infection with the swine flu virus, and also not to transfer the disease to others in case of infection.

In a statement, the ministry identified the most important measures to prevent infection and in 12 procedures described as simple and confirmed that “neglect often leads”.The preventive methods  and measures   as the following:

1-Use clean tissues when sneezing to cover the nose and mouth and dispose of them in special places to collect the waste.

2 -Don’t touch your eyes and your hands are dirty.

3 – Wash your hands with soap and water.

4 – Do not overdo shaking hands with others, kissing and hugging them.

5 -In case of flu infection you should:

6–  Go fast to the nearest center or hospital for treatment.

7 – Keep enough distance between you and other people.

8 – Do not let others use your own belongings such as water bottles, napkins, etc.

9– Don’t shake hands with anyone.

10 – Do not go to work or school and mingle with others until you heal from the disease.

11– Keeping others healthy and protecting you and your relatives from diseases and their spread.

12-Educate yourself and make it a daily behavior, and educate others through the transmission of health information. Perhaps your publication will revive oneself or souls from falling into the inevitable death.
