HAJJAH, Feb. 5 (YPA) – Director of the Antiquities Office in Hajjah province Hamoud Ahmed Ghailan said on Tuesday that the Saudi-led coalition fighter jets have destroyed at least10 archaeological sites and monuments in several districts of the province over the past four years.
Ghailan called on UNESCO and other international organizations concerned with history and human heritage to criminalize and condemn the systematic targeting to the historical monuments in Yemen by the coalition air strikes.
“Among the sites that have been damaged is Cairo Castle in Hajjah city,”he said.
