Syrian FM arrives in Tehran for official visit

SANAA, Feb. 5 (YPA) – Syrian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem arrived in Tehran on Tuesday to head a delegation of Syrian officials to meet officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The visit comes at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Jawad Zarif in the framework of ongoing coordination and consultation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the visit, the Syrian foreign minister and his accompanying delegation will hold talks with senior Iranian officials on the latest developments in Syria and the region and means of boosting bilateral relations in all fields.
