Erdogan: MBS is a liar

SANAA, Feb. 4 (YPA) -Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the statements made by the Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) and his foreign minister since Khashoggi’s disappearance are so full of lies that Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir has been sacked from his post.

“Some of those involved in the killing of Khashoggi have been disposed of,” Erdogan told the Turkish channel TRT on Sunday evening.

“Ankara has some hypotheses stated that the killers of the Saudi Journalist Khashoggi have been disposed of in one way or another, for example through arranged traffic ‘accidents’,” he added.

Erdogan noted that the Saudi authorities say that 22 people who were involved in the crime are in detention, but “we have been told that some of them may not be alive, and that some of them may have gone victim of a traffic accident because the Saudi regime there works strangely.”

Erdogan went though recordings of the moment of Khashoggi’s murder.

“We have a recorded tape of the murder of Khashoggi, and the Saudi authorities should disclose the full details,” the Turkish president said, adding that “we cannot bear to hear those recordings, and only crazy men can participate in this crime.”

He concluded: “The recordings show great brutality. I cannot understand the silence of the United States on this matter; the CIA director has listened to these recordings and explained its details to the Congress.”

The Turkish president noted that the US senator Lindsey Graham has promised to keep the Khashoggi case on the congressional agenda in the year 2019, due to the fact that the murder of Khashoggi was not an ordinary crime.
