SANAA, Feb. 2 (YPA) – Australian authorities announced on Saturday a state of emergency at the international airport “Brisbane” after the full closure.
The Brisbane Times newspaper quoted witnesses as saying, the security forces detained a man after he caused the evacuation of the international airport and the suspension of the train traffic, after he was caught holding a knife and claimed to be carrying a bomb.
“The man is being held and police officers are conducting airport inspections,” the witnesses said.
No injuries were reported between the police and civilians, but the building remained closed and passengers were urged to avoid the area.
