President meets Chief of Central Statistical Organization

SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Wednesday met with Chief of the Central Statistical Organization Ahmed Ishaq.

During the meeting, they discussed the performance of the organizations and the tasks accomplished during the past period and its plans for the coming period, as well as the difficulties facing it.

The president underlined the importance of statistical work in the preparation of plans and projects and providing data that meet the needs of decision makers and various governmental and non-governmental organizations.

He stressed the importance of redoubling efforts during the coming period to enable the organization to complete its tasks to the fullest.

The meeting touched on the technical statistical assessment conducted by the organization in cooperation with UNICEF and the basic factors in the production of indicators, as well as the cooperation aspects between the organization and the concerned authorities.
