Activists call for new protests in Sudan

SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Union of Sudanese professionals has called for more demonstrations across the country, including a march towards the parliament building on Sunday.

The Union in statement announced that a demonstration will be launched under the title of the Martyrs ‘ rally in Omdurman and will go to the parliament building, which coincided with  launching another demonstrations across the country.

The statement added that the protesters would submit to Parliament a memorandum calling on President Omar Hassan al-Bashir to step down.

The Union of professionals said that they will hold a night event in the capital Khartoum on Tuesday and another on Thursday under the name of stepping up marches in the various cities of Sudan.
