SANAA, Jan. 19 (YPA) – At least 13 people were killed and 52 others injured in violent clashes between armed groups, which erupted in the Libyan capital of Tripoli earlier this week, the Libyan Health Ministry said in a statement.
“The number of people killed in clashes, which erupted last Wednesday in the south of the capital Tripoli has risen to 13 deaths and 52 wounded, including women and children,” according to statistics from the Central Operations Room of the Ministry of Health.
The statement called on “all parties not to violate the provisions of international humanitarian law and not to attack ambulance drivers or vehicles in the performance of their duties.
The Ministry of Health called on “hospitals to facilitate the tasks of ambulance personnel by speeding up the transportation of wounded and injured persons and returning the mobile beds of ambulances.
