Exiled Hadi’s defense minister retaliates against southern military commanders

SANAA, Jan. 16 (YPA)  -Official sources loyal to the Saudi-led coalition revealed that the exiled former president Hadi, had been directed to cancel the military ceremony at al-Anad military base. However, his Minister of Defense, General Mohammed Ali al-Maqdashi, reportedly issued orders to carry out the military parade anyway.

The sources confirmed that Hadi had told Al-Maqdashi to cancel the event for security reasons, but the general directed the fourth military region to continue with the launch of the military celebration as prepared.

According to southern Yemeni activist al-Khader Almairi, the military parade was not properly arranged, and its security was easily penetrated, despite there being many military commanders from the southern provinces in attendance.

He added that the exiled Hadi’s defense minister is being held responsible for the deaths and injuries of a number of southern military commanders, due to the precise attack of a Yemeni Qasef-2K drone on al-Anad military base in Lahj province at the end of last week.

The activist called for an investigation into and dismissal of the Hadir regime defense minister, even going as far as saying that al-Maqdashi must be sentenced to death, “as a traitor and infiltrator”.
