SANAA, Jan. 15 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, on Tuesday discussed in Sanaa with Secretary General of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) Christian Friis Bach, who is currently visiting Yemen, the cooperation relations.
The meeting dealt with the positive effects of the Danish Council’s humanitarian interventions in providing assistance to refugees and displaced persons, as well as supporting a number of projects of a developmental and service nature in the health, water, environment and agriculture sectors in several targeted province.
In the meeting, Dr. bin Habtoor pointed to the urgent humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people, which are constantly exacerbated due to the continued aggression and blockade.
Aspects of the big humanitarian tragedy experienced by Yemeni people for the fourth year in a row as a result of the Saudi-Emirati aggression, siege and economic war, which is becoming increasingly fierce one day after another, were reviewed during the meeting.
The meeting also touched on burdens of the continuing influx of refugees from the Horn of African to Yemen, especially in light of the difficult situation the country is going through, which requires international support for providing their basic needs.
